Sainik School Bhubaneswar Teaching Recruitment 2025 – Educational Qualification
PGT (Biology):
- Essential:
- Integrated PG course from NCTE-recognised University/NCERT-RIE with at least 50% marks including B.Ed, OR
- Master’s degree with 50% marks in Biological Science/Life Science (or related subjects studied at graduation).
- B.Ed from NCTE recognised institute OR 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed OR 4-year integrated degree including B.Ed.
2. TGT (Mathematics):
- Essential:
- 4-year integrated degree course from NCTE-recognised university with 50% marks OR
- Bachelor’s/Honours Degree with 50% marks in Mathematics and combination subjects.
- B.Ed or 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with 50%.
- Must have cleared CTET Paper-2 / TET (Class VI-VIII).
- Subject Criteria:
- Mathematics as elective/main in 3 years or 6 semesters.
- Physics in at least 1 year or 2 semesters.
- One of Chemistry/Electronics/Computer Science/Statistics for at least 1 year or 2 semesters.
3. TGT (Social Science):
- Essential:
- 4-year integrated degree or Bachelor’s/Honours Degree with 50% in Social Science subjects.
- B.Ed or 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with 50%.
- Must have cleared CTET Paper-2 / TET (Class VI-VIII).
- Subject Criteria:
- Two subjects among History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, with either History or Geography mandatory for 3 years or 6 semesters.
Desirable –
(i) Higher percentage of marks / higher qualification and experience of working in English Medium residential public Schools shall be considered for
award of prescribed weightage.
(ii) Achievements in NCC / Sports / Co & extracurricular activities, etc.
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.

- PGT (Biology) [Regular]: ₹47,600/- per month (Level 8 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix) + DA, TA, HRA, LTC, NPS, etc.
- TGT (Maths/Social Science) [Contractual]: ₹54,500/- consolidated pay per month.
Regular PGTs also receive rent-free accommodation (subject to availability), free food during school sessions, gratuity, leave encashment, subsidised education for 2 children, and other allowances.
