Post wise Details of Vacancy break-up

• Officer Trainee (Environment Management): Two years full-time Master’s degree in Environmental Science / Natural Resource Management / Environmental Engineering or equivalent with First Class from a recognized Institute / University.
• Officer Trainee (Social Management): Two years full-time Master’s Degree in Social Work with First class from a recognized Institute / University.
• Officer Trainee (HR): Two years full-time Post Graduate Degree / Diploma / MBA in HR / Personnel Management / Industrial Relations / Social work (with specialization in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations) HRM and Labour Relations / Labour and Social Welfare from a recognized University / Institute with not less than 60% marks.
• Officer Trainee (PR): Graduate with full-time PG Degree or Diploma in Mass Communication / Public Relations / Journalism with 60% marks from a recognized Institute / University.

Candidates should meet the following Age Limit 

Minimum Age: 21 Years
Maximum Age: 28 Years

Age Relaxation as per Govt Guidelines

OBC – 3 Years
SC/ST – 5 Years
PWD – 10 Years

PGCIL Officer Trainee Recruitment 2024 : Exam Pattern

03 (Three) marks shall be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark shall be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Qualifying Standards: 

General Category (UR)– 40% marks      SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD/EWS – 30% marks

Advanced Test [Test will be of 02 (two) hours duration and maximum 150 Marks]

• Category-II Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TN)-Operator: The level of questions will be based on the syllabus in
  HSC or ISC
• Category-II Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TN)-Maintainer: The level of questions will be based on their
  respective trade.
• The Test will comprise 50 Multiple Choice Questions (Choice of four answers) with 03 (Three) marks shall
  be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark shall be deducted for each incorrect answer

General Category (UR)– 30% marks      SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD/EWS – 20% marks

Based upon the merit list prepared after Stage-2, candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test.

Skill Test (Only for the post of Category-II Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TN)-Maintainer)

Qualifying Standards for skill test:

General Category (UR)– 50% marks ,  SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD/EWS – 40% marks

PGCIL Officer Trainee Recruitment 2024 : How to Apply

• Candidates are required to first go through the notification for UGC NET December 2024 and apply for UGC-NET online. For detailed information on UGC-NET and online application form, candidates may log on to https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/
• Candidates should apply only through On-line Registration System of POWERGRID. To apply log on to http://www.powergrid.in > Careers Section > Job Opportunities > Openings > Openings and then “Recruitment of Officer Trainees -2024”. No other means / mode of application shall be accepted. Application window for POWERGRID shall be open from 04.12.2024 to 24.12.2024
• The applicant is required to furnish all basic information such as Name, Date of Birth, Category, Email, Mobile number. On successful completion of this stage, activation link is generated/allotted and sent to applicant’s email.
• The applicant is required to activate the account by clicking on the activation link received through email after completing registration in Step 1.
• On successful completion of this activation, applicants can login using  their Login ID and password to apply online. In this step the applicant is required to fill all details of her/his Educational Qualifications, Work Experience etc
