Educational Qualification Details

Fireman 
Candidates who have passed  Matriculation (10th Pass) from a Board recognized by the Government of India.
Age Limit:

Candidates should meet the following Age Limit for Fireman Recruitment 2024.
Minimum Age of the Candidate: 20 Years
Maximum Age of the Candidate: 25 Years
Age relaxation is applicable as per the rules.
OBC – 3 Years
SC/ST – 5 Years

 

ISRO Fireman Recruitment Selection Process

The mode of Selection will be Written Test, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
Initial Screening, based on the academic performance, PME certificate and other parameters given in the on-line  application will be done and only those screened-in candidates will be called for Written Test.
The Skill Test will be purely on ‘go-no-go’ basis and marks obtained in Skill Test will not be considered for selection. The final selection shall be based on the marks obtained in the Written Test. Empanelment shall be done in the order of marks obtained in the Written Test, from among the candidates who have qualified PET and DME. In the event of a tie in Written Test marks, the inter-se merit of candidates will be decided based on the academic scores of the essential qualification prescribed. 

1. Stage-1 PFT (Physical Fitness Standard Test)
 
For Male (UR/EWS/OBC) 
  • Height – 165 cm 
  • Chest – 81cm to 85 cm (05 cm expansion) 
  • Weight – 50 kg 

For Male (SC/ST)

  • Height – 160 cm 
  • Chest – 76cm to 81 cm (05 cm expansion)
  • Weight – 46 kg 
 
For Female & Transgender (All Category) 
  • Height – 155 cm
  • Chest – Not Applicable 
  • Weight – 43 kg 
 

2.Stage-2 PET (Physical Efficiency Test)

The candidates shall at first undergo Stage-1 PFT and those who qualify Stage-I he shall undergo Stage-2 PET.
 
Physical Efficiency Test
 
For Male (All Category) 
  • Running – 1500 mtr in 7 minutes 
  • Rope climbing – 5 mtr from ground level 
  • Carrying a human dummy of 60 kg, distance – 25 mtr, time duration – 60 sec 
  • Long Jump – 3.8 mtr (3 attempts) 
  • Running – 100 mtr in 15 sec 
 
For Female and Transgender (All Category) 
  • Running – 800 mtr in 4 minutes 
  • Rope climbing – 4.5 mtr from ground level 
  • Carrying a human dummy of 50 kg, distance – 25 mtr, time duration – 75 sec 
  • Long Jump – 3.5 mtr (3 attempts) 
  • Running – 100 mtr in 17 sec
