Overview

Hindustan Copper Limited, also known as HCL, is inviting applications from experienced professionals for engagement on a Fixed Tenure basis for various projects and offices across India.

The recruitment is being conducted against different disciplines and grades. The notification provides 43 vacancies in total. The engagement will initially be for three years, which may be extended for another three years depending on the requirement of HCL.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification differs according to the discipline. Candidates should carefully check the qualification prescribed for the post they want to apply for.

FIXED TENURE EXECUTIVE

1. Industrial Safety

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Safety Engineering Management.
• B.Tech in Safety or Fire Engineering is also accepted.

2. Geology

• Post Graduate Degree in Geology or Applied Geology.

3. Electrical

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology.

4. Mechanical

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mining Machinery.

5. Civil

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

6. M&HS

• MBBS from a recognized institute.
• Minimum 3 years of experience is required.
• Out of the required experience, at least 1 year must be in emergency services or 1 year in Occupational Health Services.
• Candidates having a PG Diploma require a minimum of 3 years of experience after the diploma in the clinical field.
• The notification also specifies the required MBBS or PG Diploma certificate, valid registration certificate and experience certificates.

7. Environment Management

Any one of the following qualifications is prescribed:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or Technology.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with a Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or Environmental Science.
• Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Science.

8. Mineral Processing

• B.Tech or B.E. in Mineral and Metallurgical Engineering. / B.Tech or B.E. in Mineral Engineering. / B.Tech or B.E. in Mineral Processing. / M.Tech in Mineral and / Metallurgical Engineering. / M.Tech in Mineral Engineering. / M.Tech in Mineral Processing.

9. Human Resources

• MBA with specialization in Personnel Management or HR. / Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Personnel Management or HR. / Master’s in Social Work as acceptable under various Labour Legislation for working as Welfare Officer.

10. Finance

• Passed Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. / Or passed Final Examination of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

11. Survey

M.Tech in Geomatics.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering with Surveyor Certificate of Competency. / Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with Surveyor Certificate of Competency.

Selection Process

The selection process for the advertised posts is based on Personal Interview with 100% weightage.

• HCL will generally call candidates for Personal Interview in a ratio of 1:5, meaning five candidates may be called for each advertised vacancy.
• Where there is only one vacancy, the notification states that 10 candidates may be shortlisted for Personal Interview.
• HCL may also conduct a written screening test if required for shortlisting candidates for the Personal Interview.
• The shortlisting criteria include marks for additional relevant experience beyond the minimum requirement and additional relevant degrees.

For each completed year of relevant experience beyond the minimum requirement, 1 mark is awarded. For an incomplete period, 1/365 mark is awarded for each day. An additional relevant degree over the minimum essential qualification can receive 1 mark, subject to a maximum of 2 marks. HCL may also introduce additional criteria if required.
