Educational Qualification
Candidates must have the required qualification as a regular full time course from a recognized institution.
Technician Apprentice
- Discipline Code 101
- Candidates need a three year regular full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Discipline Code 102
- A three year regular full time Diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Discipline Code 103
- Candidates need a three year regular full time Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering.
- Discipline Code 104
- Candidates need a three year regular full time Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Discipline Code 105
- Candidates need a three year regular full time Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Technician Apprentice disciplines
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks for General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates.
- Minimum 45% aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwBD candidates against reserved positions.

OIL Apprentice Recruitment
Trade Apprentice
For Trade Apprentice disciplines, candidates must have:
- Matriculation.
- A regular full time two year ITI course in the relevant trade.
- The ITI course must be recognized by NCVT or SCVT.

Graduate Apprentice
For Discipline Code 112, candidates must have a regular full time graduate degree in any discipline.
Candidates need:
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks for General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates.
- Minimum 45% aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwBD candidates against reserved positions.
- Degree from a recognized Institute or University.
Data Entry Operator
For Discipline Code 113, candidates must have passed Class 12th but should be below graduate level.
The minimum marks requirement is:
- 50% aggregate marks for General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates.
- 45% aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwBD candidates against reserved positions.
For Discipline Code 114, candidates must have passed Class 12th but should be below graduate level. In addition, they must possess a Skill Certificate in Domestic Data Entry Operator for training of less than one year, issued by an awarding body recognized under the National Skill Qualifications Framework or another authority recognized by the Central Government.
