EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Engineering Officer Grade 1 Electrical
- First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university.
- Specialization should be in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Valid GATE score of 2024, 2025 or 2026 is required.
- The applicable GATE paper is Electrical Engineering.
Engineering Officer Grade 1 Civil
- First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university.
- Qualification should be in Civil Engineering.
- Valid GATE score of 2024, 2025 or 2026 is required.
- The applicable GATE paper is Civil Engineering.
Scientific Assistant
- First Class B.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized university.
- Five years of experience in the relevant subject field.
Engineering Assistant Electrical
- First Class three year Diploma in Engineering or Technology.
- Diploma should be in Electrical Engineering.
- Five years of experience in the relevant field.
Engineering Assistant Mechanical
- First Class three year Diploma in Engineering or Technology.
- Diploma should be in Mechanical Engineering.
- Five years of experience in the relevant field.
Technician Grade 1 Electrical
- ITI Trade Certificate in Electrical.
Technician Grade 1 Mechanical
- ITI Trade Certificate in Mechanical.
Technical Attendant Grade 1
- Matriculation or equivalent pass from a recognized Board.
- ITI Trade Certificate of two years duration in Electrical or Mechanical is desirable.
Assistant Grade II
- First Class BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BBM or BCA degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum Grade B certificate in Basic Computer Course conducted by NIELIT is required on the closing date of the recruitment application.
- CPRI will accept only the Basic Computer Course conducted by NIELIT for this requirement.
- Other computer courses will not be accepted.

SELECTION PROCESS
For Engineering Officer Grade 1, selection will be based on the valid GATE score. Candidates applying for Electrical Engineering Officer must have the applicable Electrical Engineering GATE paper, while Civil Engineering Officer candidates must have the Civil Engineering GATE paper.

- The selection will be based on the Computer Based Test and job specific practical skill test.
