SAIL RSP IGH Recruitment 2026: Medical Attendant, Hospital Administration and OT Assistant

Overview

The recruitment is for training programmes at Ispat General Hospital, Rourkela, under Steel Authority of India Limited, Rourkela Steel Plant.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification depends on the training programme selected by the candidate.

Medical Attendant Training

• Candidates applying for Medical Attendant Training should have passed Matriculation or equivalent.

Hospital Administration Training

• Candidates applying for Hospital Administration Training should have passed MBA, BBA or PG Diploma in Hospital Management, Hospital Administration, HR, Marketing or Finance from a recognized institute.
• The notification specifies the minimum course duration as 2 years for MBA, 3 years for BBA and 2 years for PG Diploma.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have MBA, BBA or PG Diploma specifically in Hospital Management or Hospital Administration.

OT/Anesthesia Assistant Training

• Candidates applying for OT/Anesthesia Assistant Training should have passed the Intermediate Examination from a recognized Council.
• In addition, the candidate should have completed a one year Hospital Attendant or Anesthesia Attendant Training Programme from a reputed institute or hospital.

RESIDENTIAL ELIGIBILITY AND PREFERENCE

The notification invites applications from eligible underprivileged candidates who are residents of Sundargarh District and other districts of Odisha State only.

However, preference will be given to candidates belonging to the direct impact zones of Rourkela Steel Plant.

These areas include Bisra Block, Kuarmunda Block, Nuagaon Block, Lathikata Block of Sundargarh District, Rourkela Municipality, Rourkela Industrial Township area, Resettlement Colonies of RSP and model steel villages of RSP in Odisha.

Age Limit

Salary Details

The monthly stipend differs according to the apprenticeship type and is as follows:

TRAINING PERIOD

• The training period for all the programmes is one year.
• Candidates should also note that the training does not create a right to claim employment in SAIL or Rourkela Steel Plant in the future. The notification specifically states that the programme is only for skill enhancement of underprivileged candidates.

Selection Process

The selection process involves screening of eligible candidates followed by an interview.

• Eligible candidates are required to appear for the interview on the scheduled date. The interview venue, date and time will be communicated through SMS to the registered mobile number. The same information will also be published on the specified website and displayed on the notice board at IGH.
• The notification also states that the selection is subject to medical fitness as per the rules of the Company.
• Candidates should bring the required application documents and certificates to the interview. The documents will be checked, and failure to produce the required documents can result in rejection of the candidature.
• The notification also gives SAIL/RSP the right to reject an application, cancel a candidature or cancel the entire training programme without assigning any reason

How to Apply

Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements must apply online only.

Step 1

Visit the official application website.

Step 2

Under the What’s New section, click on: “Apply for Trainee Advt. no. Ref. No. HR-T&M/2498, Date:31/08/2026”

Step 3

The next page provides two options:

1. Online Application Form
2. View Filled Form

Candidates should select Online Application Form.

Step 4

• Fill in all the required information in the application form and click the Submit button.
• After successful submission, an Application ID will be generated.
• Candidates should carefully note the Application ID for future reference.
• The notification specifically warns that candidates will not be able to make changes after submitting the form, so the information should be checked carefully before final submission.

Step 5

After submission, candidates can view their filled application and click the Print button.

The following documents need to be printed:

1. Filled Application Form, Page 1
2. Declaration Form, Page 2
3. Document Verification Form, Page 3

Step 6

Candidates should sign wherever required on the printed forms and paste one recent passport size colour photograph at the appropriate place on the application form.

Step 7

• If a candidate submitted the form but forgot to take the printouts, the notification provides a way to retrieve the filled form.
• The candidate can again follow the initial steps, select View Filled Form, enter the Application ID and then print the completed form

Essential Documents

Candidates called for the interview must bring the downloaded or printed application form submitted online, the filled declaration form and the document verification form along with these forms, candidates must bring the original documents and self attested photocopies of the required certificates and documents.

The notification specifically lists the following documents:

1. Two recent passport size coloured photographs, self attested.
2. All educational certificates.
3. Experience certificate, if any.
4. Caste or category certificate.
5. Aadhaar Card.
6. Residential Certificate, issued on or after 01 January 2023.
7. BPL Card, Ration Card, BSKY Card or Income Certificate, issued on or after 01 January 2025.
8. No Objection Certificate from the present employe
