Overview

Educational Qualification
The educational qualification is different for each post. Candidates should check the qualification and experience requirements for the particular post before applying.
1. Accountant
- Graduate.
- Intermediate pass of CA or ICWA.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant post qualification experience after passing Intermediate of CA or ICWA in Accounts work.
- Basic Computer Proficiency and SAP FICO are mentioned as desirable proficiency.
2. Technician (Survey)
- ITI in Survey or Diploma in Survey.
- 1 year post qualification relevant experience in Survey.
3. Technician (Sampling)
- B.Sc.
- 1 year post qualification relevant experience in Drill Core or Mine Sampling is mentioned as desirable experience.
4. Technician (Laboratory)
- B.Sc. in Chemistry, Physics or Geology.
- 1 year post qualification relevant experience in Chemical, Petrological, Mineralogical or similar laboratories.
5. Assistant (Materials)
- Graduate with Mathematics or B.Com.
- Courses should be approved by UGC and AICTE wherever applicable.
- Degree should be recognized by UGC and AICTE wherever applicable.
- ODL degrees are permissible.
- Basic Computer Proficiency and SAP MM are mentioned as desirable.
6. Assistant (Accounts)
- B.Com.
- Courses should be approved by UGC and AICTE wherever applicable.
- Degree should be recognized by UGC and AICTE wherever applicable.

7. Stenographer (English)
- Graduate in any stream.
- Certificate in Shorthand with 80 words per minute in English.
- Basic Computer Proficiency is mentioned as desirable.
8. Assistant (Hindi)
- Graduate with Hindi and English as subjects, or
- Degree in English and passed equivalent examination in Advanced Hindi.
- Basic Computer Proficiency with Hindi is mentioned as desirable.
9. Electrician
- ITI in Electrical or Diploma in Electrical.
- Valid Wireman certificate.
- 1 year post qualification relevant experience after passing Wireman Certificate in electrical wiring, repairs of electrical machinery, power generation, power transmission or power distribution.
10. Machinist
- ITI certificate in Turner, Machinist, Grinder or Miller trade, or
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering or Tool and Die Engineering.
- 1 year relevant post qualification industrial experience in a machine shop or manufacturing workshop.
11. Technician (Drilling)
- ITI Certificate in Mechanic Earth Moving Machinery, Diesel Mechanic, Motor Mechanic or Fitter trade, or Diploma in Drilling or Mechanical Engineering.
- Valid HMV Licence.
- 1 year post qualification relevant experience in drilling operations or maintenance of drill rigs used in surface exploration.
12. Mechanic
- ITI Certificate in Diesel, Motor Mechanic or Fitter trade, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering or Production Engineering/Manufacturing.
- Valid HMV Licence.
- 1 year post qualification relevant experience in Diesel Mechanic, Motor Mechanic or Fitter trade.
13. Mechanic cum Operator (Drilling)
- ITI Certificate in Mechanic Earth Moving Machinery, Diesel Mechanic, Motor Mechanic or Fitter trade, or Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile or Drilling Engineering.
- 1 year experience in diesel or motor mechanic, fitter or drilling trade after ITI certificate.
- Apprenticeship experience is admissible according to the conditions mentioned in the advertisement.
14. Junior Driver
- 10th Class Pass.
- Valid LMV Licence.
- Valid HMV Licence.
- Consolidated experience of 1 year in driving a light and heavy vehicle.
15. Assistant (IT)
- BCA, BCS, BCCA, B.Sc. in Computer Science, IT or Computer Applications, or Bachelor of Information System and Management from a recognized university, or
- Graduation in any stream with a minimum 1 year diploma after graduation or PG Diploma in IT, Computer Science or Computer Applications from a recognized Board or University.
- No experience is required.
16. Assistant (HR)
Basic Computer Proficiency and SAP HCM are mentioned as desirable
- BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BBM or BSW.

Selection Process
The MECL recruitment selection process has several stages.
Stage 1: Screening of Applications
The Screening Committee will examine the online applications and separate candidates into Eligible and Not Eligible categories based on the information provided in the application.
Stage 2: Written Competitive Examination
Candidates shortlisted by the Screening Committee will appear in the written test. The written test carries 100% weightage.
Stage 3: Document Verification
Candidates clearing the written test will be called for Document Verification according to merit and the applicable shortlisting ratio. Stage 4: Skill Test or Trade Test
Candidates who clear Document Verification will proceed to the Skill Test or Trade Test. This test is qualifying in nature.
Stage 5: Final Merit List
After eliminating candidates found not suitable in the Skill or Trade Test, the final merit list will be prepared based on written test marks.
