Educational Qualification
The qualification requirements are clearly defined for both posts. Below is a simplified explanation
Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
Candidates must have:
- A Postgraduate Degree in Basic Science
OR - A Postgraduate Degree in Professional Courses, selected through processes such as:
- CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship)
- GATE
- National-level exams conducted by DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
- Additionally, candidates must have two years of research experience in a relevant field from a recognized institution or university
Research Associate-I (RA-I)
Candidates must have:
- Ph.D.
OR - M.Sc. in Agril. Biotechnology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Botany / Biochemistry / Life Science / Bioinformatics, plus three years of research experience after the postgraduate degree and at least one research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) journal

Selection
The selection process will follow a direct, walk-in-based procedure:
- The institute may also conduct a skill test related to agricultural farm machinery operation
- Document verification of educational and experience certificates.
